Juventud Rebelde opens a new Internet address with a new design to offer digital readers greater access and navigation facilities within its web site and promote a better interaction with the internauts, regardless of their technology, handicaps, language or cultural level.
With the blue and white colors that identify the newspaper and maintain its regular spaces, the web will offer virtual readers the possibility of printing articles of their interest, consulting previous issues or separately read the graphic sections they like most such as La Tira del Lente, DDT or Opinión Gráfica.
Also added to the web site is a climate temperature, an internal search of contents and an RSS channel, a new offer that allows readers to obtain summaries of the news published in the site, either on your desktop, e-mail or web application without having to open the JR page in the search.
The new format designed on the basis of web standards and access guidelines grants easy consultations even for the blind who need a screen reader to navigate the Internet.
To obtain a better contact with readers they will be able to write to the webmasters that also includes the addresses of the authors of the articles and a section on surveys. They will also have access through the web of the newspaper to the blogs or personal pages of JR collaborators such as Luis Sexto and Ciro Bianchi.

Rebelde estrena a partir de hoy un nuevo diseño y dirección en Internet,
en aras de dar a sus lectores digitales mayor accesibilidad y facilidad
en la navegación dentro de su sitio web, y propiciar una mejor
interacción con los cibernautas, independientemente de la tecnología que
empleen, discapacidad, idioma o nivel cultural.
Con los colores azul y blanco que identifican al periódico, y manteniendo sus espacios habituales, la web dará a los lectores virtuales la posibilidad de imprimir artículos que le interesen, e incluso poder descargar la edición impresa del diario, consultar números anteriores o apreciar de forma separada secciones gráficas gustadas como La Tira del Lente, el DDT o la Opinión Gráfica.
Igualmente se agrega al sitio un servicio sobre el estado del tiempo, un buscador interno de contenidos y un canal RSS, novedosa utilidad que permitirá a los usuarios obtener resúmenes de noticias publicadas en el sitio, en el escritorio de su computadora, correo electrónico o alguna aplicación web, sin necesidad de abrir la página de JR en el navegador.
El novedoso formato se ha elaborado sobre la base de los estándares web y pautas de accesibilidad, que posibilitan su fácil consulta incluso para personas invidentes, que precisan de un programa lector de pantalla para navegar a través de Internet.
En aras de un mejor contacto con los lectores, además de la posibilidad de que estos escriban a los webmasters, también se incluye la dirección de los autores de los trabajos y una sección de encuestas. Igualmente, podrán acceder a través de la web del periódico a los blogs o páginas personales de reconocidos colaboradores de JR como Luis Sexto y Ciro Bianchi.
