It's already thirteen years since the heinous terrorist acts of September 11, 2001 and the memory of these is still marked by countless manipulations, mysteries and blatant lies.
And as bad as that is, as time passes, more abundant (and alarming) are the doubts that appear on the many contradictions between what happened in New York and Washington and the us congress' report. So many that they suggest there was a conspiracy which includes the official version of the events.
In recent days, former Republican member of Congress Ron Paul suggested that his government had prior knowledge of the terrorist attacks but kept it hidden and classified as secret in the 9/11 committee report.
“Our own government did more harm to the liberties of the American people than Bin Laden did. He was a monster himself, but a minor one by comparison. If we ever get the full truth [about 9/11], we’ll find out that our government had it in the records exactly what the plans were, or at least close to it,” said Paul during an interview published by digital website The Washington Free Beacon.
After the attacks of 9/11, it was officially reported that al Qaeda had acted without sponsorship from any state. But the truth is that the White House had censored the publication of an entire section of the congressional report which dealt with "specific sources of external support" in which it was stated that of the 19 aircraft hijackers, 15 were Saudi citizens.
Shortly after the events, the New York Hebrew daily Ha'aretz revealed that e-mail company Odigo received anonymous warning messages about the attacks in New York two hours before they occurred. The fact was confirmed by the director of the company.
Former Italian President Francesco Cossiga told Corriere della Sera in November 2007 that "all Western leaders –although none would say so– know that American and Israeli intelligence services perpetrated the attacks of September 11, 2001."
To think that Talibans out of Afghan caves were able to grab codes developed from constantly changing mathematical algorithms should surprise us.
The idea that various groups of people decided to immolate themselves and, at the same time, to carry out the terrorist act, contradicts the psychology of suicide, a strictly personal and individual act.
Announcing the identity of one of the pilots of the suicide planes, the FBI said they had "found in the ruins of the twin towers his intact passport". But when the urns with the ashes and remains of the aircraft passengers were delivered, the FBI stated that the bodies were identified by fingerprints and DNA. Both facts are incompatible with the official statement that these were inside the fuselage of an airplane which melted at 2500 degrees Celsius°.
Apart from the targeted twin towers, a third building collapsed for no apparent reason. The building held a CIA economic espionage center and, as a result of its collapse, there was a loss –or so it was claimed– of important information on extreme acts of corruption which were in a process of being investigated.
I could go on citing inexplicable events surrounding 9/11, but perhaps most surprising is the acceptance with which the American corporate media received such implausible official information.
Some argue that the silence about those facts in the mainstream media is justified by their psychological impact on journalists and the media in general. It is plausible that this may have been an immediate effect.
But clearly this effect was used to produce the "patriotic laws" which have served to prolong, through panic, the traumatic effects of those events. United States citizens have since seen cut back, one after another, many of their democratic freedoms.
And, it is shockingly clear, that just as the events of September 11, 2001 in the United States are still to be investigated, there is also a cloud over many gruesome aspects of the "war on terror" which the United States declared against its own people and the world after that monstrous crime.
13 years after the tragic event, it is regrettable to see that those in the United States who insist on their search for truths risk being charged, under the "patriotic laws," of taking part in conspiracy theories or being traitors. Or at least they fear so.

AÑOS DE INCERTIDUMBRE SOBRE 9/11

Ya son trece los años transcurridos desde los ominosos actos terroristas
del 11 de septiembre de 2001 y aún la memoria de éstos hechos sigue
matizada de incontables manipulaciones, misterios y mentiras evidentes.
Y tan grave como eso es que, a medida que pasa el tiempo, más abundantes
(y alarmantes) son las dudas que van apareciendo acerca de tantas
contradicciones entre lo acaecido en Nueva York y Washington y el
Informe del Congreso que inducen a pensar que se trató de una
conspiración de la que es parte la propia versión oficial.
En días recientes, el ex congresista republicano de EEUU Ron Paul
sugirió que el gobierno de su país tenía conocimiento previo de los
ataques terroristas pero lo mantuvo oculto y lo clasificó como secreto
en la sección del informe de la Comisión 9/11 que recoge el hecho.
"Nuestro propio gobierno hizo más daño a la libertad del pueblo
estadounidense que Osama Bin Laden. Éste era un monstruo, pero uno menor
por comparación. Si alguna vez obtenemos toda la verdad sobre ellos
descubriremos que nuestro Gobierno tenía en sus registros cuáles
exactamente eran los planes de los terroristas, o al menos algo acerca
de estos", dijo Paul en entrevista publicada por el portal The
Washington Free Beacon.
Después de los ataques del 9/11, se informó oficialmente que al Qaeda
había actuado sin patrocinio de Estado alguno, cuando lo cierto es que
la Casa Blanca había censurado la publicación de una sección entera del
informe del Congreso que trataba sobre " fuentes específicas de apoyo
exterior" en la que se señalaba que, de los 19 secuestradores de los
aviones, 15 eran ciudadanos sauditas.
Poco después de los hechos, el diario hebreo neoyorquino Ha’aretz reveló
que la compañía Odigo, de mensajería electrónica, recibió mensajes
anónimos de alerta sobre los ataques de Nueva York dos horas antes de
que ocurrieran. El hecho fue confirmado por el director de la firma.
El ex presidente italiano Francesco Cossiga dijo al Corriere Della Seara
en noviembre de 2007 que “todos los dirigentes occidentales –aunque
ninguno lo diga–, saben que fueron los servicios de inteligencia
estadounidenses e israelíes los que perpetraron los atentados del 11 de
septiembre de 2001”.
Pensar que talibanes salidos de las cavernas afganas hayan podido
apoderarse de códigos elaborados a partir de algoritmos matemáticos que
cambian constantemente debe sorprendernos.
La idea de que varios grupos de personas hayan decidido inmolarse a un
tiempo para ejecutar el acto terrorista contradice la sicología del
suicidio, un acto estrictamente personal e individual.
Al anunciar la identidad de uno de los pilotos de los aviones suicidas,
el FBI dijo que “encontramos en las ruinas de las torres gemelas su
pasaporte intacto”; y cuando se entregaron las urnas con las cenizas y
restos de los pasajeros de los aviones, el propio FBI declaró que los
cuerpos fueron identificados por las huellas digitales y los ADN. Ambas
cosas resultan incompatibles con la afirmación oficial de que se
hallaban dentro del fuselaje de un avión fundido a 2500 C°.
Aparte de las torres gemelas impactadas, sin motivo aparente, se
desplomó un tercer edificio en el que se alojaba un centro de espionaje
económico de la CIA, perdiéndose, según se asegura, importante
información sobre magnos actos de corrupción que estaban en proceso de
investigación.
Podría seguir citando hechos inexplicables en torno a 9/11, pero quizás
lo que más sorprenda sea la conformidad con que la prensa corporativa
estadounidense ha acogido una información oficial tan inverosímil.
Hay quienes sostienen que el mutis acerca de aquellos hechos en la
prensa establecida se justifica por su impacto psicológico en
periodistas y en los medios en general. Es creíble que ese pudo haber
sido un efecto inmediato.
Pero es evidente que se aprovechó este efecto para producir las leyes
patrióticas que han servido para prolongar, mediante el pánico, los
efectos traumáticos de aquellos sucesos. La ciudadanía estadounidense ha
visto desde entonces recortadas, una tras otras, muchas de sus
libertades democráticas.
Y es escandalosamente evidente que, así como los propios acontecimientos
del 11 de septiembre de 2001 en Estados Unidos están aún por investigar,
siguen envueltas en nebulosas muchos aspectos horripilantes de la
“guerra contra el terrorismo” que Estados Unidos declaró contra su
propio pueblo y el mundo tras aquel monstruoso crimen.
A 13 años del trágico acontecimiento, es lamentable observar que quienes
en Estados Unidos insisten en buscar verdades corren el riesgo de ser
acusados, a tenor de las “leyes patrióticas”, de ser participantes en
teorías conspirativas o de traidores. O, al menos, eso temen.
