Compañero Fernando González Llort, one of the five heroes who served prison in the U.S. for over 15 years and then returned after fully completing his wrongful conviction, has been appointed Vice President of ICAP.
Fernando was graduated with a Gold Diploma in 1987 with a degree in International Political Relations at the Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI), Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Between 1987 and 1989 he participated as internationalist combatant in the war for the liberation of Angola and against apartheid. He is known for his modesty, simplicity and serenity as well as the depth and expanse of his understanding of international affairs, his firmness and discipline and his foolproof his foolproof loyalty.
This decision strengthens us all. We have to keep challenging our creativity after nearly 16 years in prison have passed and we know that the main thing is to achieve the release from these prisons of Tony, Ramón and Gerardo.

MENSAJE AL MOVIMIENTO DE SOLIDARIDAD CON CUBA
Queridos amigos:
El compañero Fernando González LLort, uno de los Cinco Héroes que cumplió prisión en EEUU durante más de 15 años y que regresó luego de cumplir íntegramente su injusta condena, ha sido nombrado como Vicepresidente del ICAP.
Fernando es Graduado con Diploma de Oro, en 1987, como Licenciado en Relaciones Políticas Internacionales, en el Instituto Superior de Relaciones Internacionales del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores. Entre los años 1987 y 1989 participó como combatiente internacionalista en la guerra por la liberación de Angola y la lucha contra el apartheid; se destaca por su modestia, sencillez y serenidad; su profundidad en los análisis y amplio dominio de los temas internacionales; su firmeza y disciplina; su fidelidad a toda prueba.
Esta decisión nos fortalece a todos; tenemos que seguir desafiando la creatividad después de haber transcurrido casi 16 años de prisión y sabemos que lo principal está por alcanzar: arrancar de esas prisiones a Tony, a Ramón y a Gerardo.
