El español Ángel Carromero, involucrado en el accidente del pasado 22 de julio en el que perdieron la vida dos cubanos, recibió una multa en Madrid por conducir a exceso de velocidad y una notificación para comenzar los trámites que deberían retirarle el pemiso de conducir, revelan hoy fuentes españolas.

De acuerdo con el Boletín Oficial de la Comunidad de Madrid (BOCM) del 18 de mayo de 2012, que reproduce  el diario ZonaRetiro.com, Carromero fue denunciado por la Jefatura Provincial de Tráfico de Cuenca en enero de 2010 por exceso de velocidad con una multa de 520 euros y la pérdida de seis puntos del carné de conducir; la mayor sanción contemplada en el Código de Circulación español y aplicada únicamente cuando la velocidad del vehículo dobla la permitida.

Para ser multado con dicha sanción, Carromero debería haber conducido a más de 80km/h en una carretera de 30km/h, a más de 160km/h en una de 90km/h o a 219km/h en una autopista en la que se permite conducir hasta 120km/h.

Según fuentes jurídicas, la publicación de su pérdida del permiso de conducción en el BOCM (ver página 210) se debe a que a Carromero se le abrió en mayo un expediente para retirada de carné, presumiblemente por la acumulación de infracciones que conllevaron a una pérdida total de los puntos; algo que se le intentó notificar en su domicilio sin éxito, añade el diario.

Así, para cubrir la formalidad de que el administrado conozca sus expedientes, si no se le puede notificar en dos intentos, la ley permite la publicación por boletines oficiales para suplir la falta de notificación. A partir de la misma, Carromero tuvo un plazo de diez días para alegar lo que le interesara, y una vez cubierto ese plazo, la Administración decidiría si procedía o no esa retirada del carné.
