Massacre in Houla: A Manipulated Story
Mass media corporations have distorted the reality of events in Syria by bluntly manipulating images

Without corroborating facts or contrasting sources, the international corporate media globally spread the news of the massacre in the Syrian village of Houla (Homs) and blamed government troops for the action in order to move public opinion in favor of a harder retaliation against Bashar Al-Assad’s government.

However, several media and web sites who grew suspicious of media manipulation are now revealing that opposition armed bands are responsible for this escalation of homicides aimed at pushing for military intervention to overthrow Assad. 

A number of videos without reference to origin posted on YouTube were the “evidence” used with premeditation by international organizations like the United Nations and regional bodies like the Arab League (which is controlled by Saudi Arabia and Qatar who finance the terrorist armed opposition) to condemn Assad without carrying out a thorough, impartial and objective investigation of the events as demanded by Russia and the Syrian government. 

The distortion of events has been blunt. BBC, a mainstream medium, published a false photo of the massacre. The image this network presented to its huge audience was that of a killing of children that took place nine years ago in Iraq, according to Italian photographer Marco di Lauro who took the shot and who is quoted by The Daily Telegraph. This maneuver has the necessary psychological strength to fabricate genocide and war crimes whose blame falls on the governments the West consider its enemies.

A more serious analysis of what happened in Houla indicates that terrorist armed bands of the Free Syrian Army were the real murderers. According to analyst Patrick Henningsen, the home videos posted on the Internet show children with firearm head wounds at close range. Even residents give versions that contradict the story of a bombing by government forces, as they say many victims were killed with knives.  

These methods, and others, like the kidnapping of civilians and military for ransom, the burning of crops, and the attacks on economic facilities are tactics used by the bands that operate in Syria. This has indeed been documented by means of proof sent to the United Nations by Damascus in an appeal to the Security Council and those harassing Syria, to stop the financing of these bands and their terrorist acts against the Syrian people.   

According to Syria News, many of the victims were of the al-Kard tribe, known to support the government. Then, why would the government massacre followers of Assad?

There are many questions, contradictions and holes in the story the big media tell their audiences in the United States, Europe, and the Arab region (the anti-democratic kings of the Gulf need this version to remain seated on their illegitimate thrones). These media have not questioned why it was possible that the Free Syrian Army paramilitary were the first to discover the bodies in Houla and to record the horrible images which later disappeared from the crime scene. 

Why would the BBC, which claims to be “an independent voice”, take images of the atrocities in Iraq from their archives and show them as proof of the presence of a bloodthirsty regime in Damascus? This was certainly not a slip-up by the British network. This was evidence of how the big media fabricate news to promote Western interests.

An answer was given this Tuesday by the newly elected French President, Francois Hollande, when in his first presidential statements on French TV, he did not exclude a possible foreign military intervention in Syria, if this is coordinated in full by the UN Security Council.

Sin comprobar los hechos ni contrastar fuentes, el periodismo corporativo internacional transmitió al mundo la masacre de la aldea siria Al-Houleh (Homs) para crear una opinión pública mundial favorable a una respuesta mucho más dura contra el Gobierno de Bashar Al-Assad, al responsabilizar a sus tropas de los hechos. Sin embargo, para algunos medios de comunicación y sitios web suspicaces ante las manipulaciones mediáticas, comienza a ser una certeza que las bandas armadas opositoras son las responsables de esta escalada de homicidios para presionar por la intervención militar necesaria para derrocar a Al-Assad.

Muchos videos han sido colgados en YouToube, sin que se sepa su verdadero origen, y esta ha sido la «prueba» en la que se basan organismo internacionales como Naciones Unidas, o regionales como la Liga Árabe (manipulada por Arabia Saudita y Qatar, financiadores de los opositores armados y terroristas), para condenar de manera premeditada a Al-Assad, sin que se haya hecho una investigación seria, imparcial y objetiva sobre los acontecimientos, como demandan Rusia y el propio Gobierno sirio.

La distorsión de los acontecimientos es burda. BBC, uno de los medios del mainstream, publicó una foto falsa de la masacre. La imagen que la cadena británica ofreció a su multitudinaria audiencia fue la de un asesinato de niños en Iraq, hace nueve años, según reconoció el autor de la instantánea, el italiano Marco Di Lauro, citado por The Daily Telegraph. Este es un componente que tiene la suficiente fuerza psicológica en la fabricación de genocidios y crímenes de guerras, achacados, por supuesto, a los Gobiernos tildados por Occidente de enemigos.

Algunos análisis más serios de lo que sucedió en Al-Houleh aportan pruebas que señalan a las bandas armadas y terroristas del denominado Ejército Libre Sirio (ELS) como los verdaderos asesinos. Según el analista Patrick Henningsen, los videos caseros colgados en internet muestran a niños con disparos en la cabeza con armas de fuego a corta distancia. Incluso, residentes ofrecen visiones que contradicen la versión de un bombardeo de las fuerzas del Gobierno, al asegurar que algunas víctimas fueron asesinadas con cuchillos.

Estos métodos y otros como el secuestro de civiles y militares para luego pedir rescate, los atentados suicidas, la quema de campos sembrados, el ataque a instalaciones económicas, son propios de las bandas que están operando en Siria. Eso sí ha quedado documentado con pruebas enviadas por Damasco a Naciones Unidas para exhortar a que algunos de los empotrados en su Consejo de Seguridad y asediadores de Siria, detengan el financiamiento de estos grupos y la actividad terrorista contra ese pueblo.

Según Syria News muchas de las víctimas eran de la tribu al-Kard, conocida por apoyar al Gobierno. Entonces, ¿por qué el ejército masacraría a partidarios de Al-Assad?

Hay muchas interrogantes, contradicciones y vacíos en la historia que cuentan los grandes medios de comunicación a sus públicos en Estados Unidos, Europa, y en la mismísima región árabe (los antidemocráticos reyes del Golfo necesitan esta versión para empotrarse mucho más en sus ilegítimos tronos). Por ejemplo, estos medios no se han cuestionado cómo es posible que los paramilitares del ELS fueran los «descubridores» de los cuerpos en Al-Houleh y los primeros en grabar esas horrendas imágenes y que luego desaparecieran de la escena del crimen.

¿Por qué BBC, que dice ser «una voz independiente», saca de sus archivos recuerdos de las atrocidades cometidas en Iraq y las presenta como la prueba de un régimen «sanguinario» en Damasco? De seguro no fue una metedura de pata de la cadena británica. Es una prueba de cómo los grandes medios fabrican noticias favorables a los intereses occidentales.

La respuesta la dio este martes el nuevo presidente francés, Francois Hollande, cuando en sus primeras declaraciones ante la televisión gala tras su investidura en el cargo, no excluyó una eventual intervención militar extranjera en Siria, si es coordinada en pleno por el Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU.
