Estados Unidos otorgó visa a una alta funcionaria del
gobierno de Raúl Castro que se vio forzada a abandonar el país hace
nueve años por supuestas actividades de espionaje de su esposo, ex
cónsul cubano en Washington.
El
Departamento de Estado confirmó a CaféFuerte que Vidal Ferreiro,
directora de América del Norte en el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores
(MINREX), recibió el visado para participar un encuentro con cubanos
residentes en Estados Unidos, que se celebrará este sábado en la Sección
de Intereses de Cuba en Washington.
“Hemos otorgado visa a la señora Josefina de la Caridad Vidal Ferreiro
para hacer labores internas en la Sección de Intereses de Cuba”, dijo
William Ostick, portavoz del Departamento de Estado. “Ella debe llegar
a Estados Unidos en la madrugada del sábado”.

El
funcionario declinó comentar sobre las razones para concederle el

premia a la dictadura castrista”, declaró la congresista, quien pidió al
Departamento de Estado que revierta la visa de Vidal Ferreiro con
carácter urgente.
La
