[Video] What was intended as a montage to denounce the "Cuban dictatorship" backfires and serves as evidence of exactly the opposite.
A small group of anti-Castro demonstrators tries to edit a video to denounce the dictatorship's repression, but the images turn out to be the best defense of its democratic political system respectful of the rights and freedom of the population.
Suffice it to watch how all the demonstrators are scrupulously respected by the police; the four women who - placard in hand- begin protesting against the government on the stairs of the Havana Capitol, and the group of people who insult and harass the security officers who try to do their job peacefully.
Several factors show that the event is staged or, better yet, that it is a previously-rehearsed theatrical play with the hope of capturing good shots to launch one of those international campaigns against the "dictatorship" that the opposition and the big western media love so much.
First, the women are strategically situated in one of the most politically significant locations in the Cuban capital.
Second, the people who shout the loudest, who more eagerly support the women protesters and who more harshly insult the policemen are precisely the ones who are in charge of shooting the video. Curiously, one of them is wearing a cap with the US flag on it.
Third, the vast majority of the people who stop to watch merely film the scene with their cell phones and only a few voices are heard complaining or protesting. Most of these are the voices of the persons shooting the video and a few people around them.
But the whole charade backfires. One simply has to compare these images with the ones we´ve recently seen from places like Madrid or Chile, to individually arrive at conclusions. Which is a democracy and which a dictatorship?
On the other hand, since the Cuban oppositionists like to talk so much about the cruel dictatorship, one wonders what would have happened to those four women if they had taken part in a similar protest against Pinochet in Chile, Videla in Argentina or Franco in Spain? Would they have dared? Short of having suicidal tendencies, the answer is: certainly not. Scenes like the ones shown in this video can never be seen in a dictatorship. This occurs only when the participants are absolutely sure that nothing serious will happen to them.
Finally, it is curious to see how in such a cruel dictatorship as Cuba's a group of people can yell, boo and verbally abuse police officers unrestrictedly and none of those persons are at least checked for identification, much less beat up, dragged away or arrested.
Thus, what had been conceived as a theatrical play to denounce the Cuban "dictatorship " has turned - after viewing the images - into the best possible defense of an absolutely democratic system, respectful of freedom of expression and human rights as the Cuban socialist system is.
Not even the most zealous defenders of the Cuban government could have prepared a better graphic document. And now, anti-Castro friends who visit Kaos, watch a video of what the conduct of a dictatorship is really like: for instance, look up last week´ videos of the police charging in Madrid. Then call your friends in Cuba and tell them to do a better job next time…

Pequeño grupo de opositores anticastristas trata de montar un vídeo con el que denunciar "la represión de la dictadura", pero vistas las imágenes se convierte en la mejor defensa de su sistema político democrático y respetuoso con los derechos y libertades de la población.
Y es que no hay más que ver cómo todos los opositores son escrupulosamente respetados por la policía, tanto las cuatro mujeres que se sitúan, pancarta en mano, a protestar contra el gobierno en las escalinatas del Capitolio de La Habana, como el grupo de personas que insulta e increpa a los miembros de la seguridad que tratan de hacer su trabajo pacíficamente.
Que el vídeo es un montaje, mejor dicho, una escenita teatral preparada de antemano para tratar de capturar alguna buena imagen con la que poder comenzar una de esas campañas internacionales de denuncia a la "dictadura" (que tanto gustan a la oposición y a los grandes medios occidentales), lo demuestran varias cosas.
Primero, que las mujeres estén estratégicamente situadas en uno de los lugares políticamente más emblemáticos de la capital cubana.
Segundo, que las personas que más gritan, que más respaldan a las mujeres que protestan, y que más insultan a la policía, son precisamente los encargados de realizar el vídeo (uno de ellos, curiosamente, portador de una gorra con una bandera de los EEUU).
Tercero, que la inmensa mayoría del resto de personas que se para a ver la escena, se limita a grabar con sus celulares el numerito teatral, siendo apenas unas pocas voces las que se oyen quejarse o protestar, la mayoría de ellas, como decimos, salidas de las mismas personas que graban el vídeo y las personas situadas justo a su alrededor.
Pero el tiro les ha salido por la culata. Simplemente hay que comparar estas imágenes con las imágenes que hemos visto recientemente en otros lugares como Madrid o Chile, y sacar cada cual sus propias conclusiones. ¿Cuál es la democracia, y cuáles las dictaduras?
Por otro lado, ya que tanto les gusta hablar de cruel dictadura a los opositores cubanos, habría que preguntarse qué hubiese sido de esas cuatro mujeres de haberse manifestado de semejante manera contra el gobierno de Pinochet en Chile, de Videla en Argentina, o de Franco en España. Es más, ¿se hubiesen atrevido? Salvo tener tendencias suicidas, seguro que no. En ninguna dictadura verán jamás ustedes imágenes como estas. Eso solo se hace, cuando uno tiene la seguridad de que no le va a pasar nada grave con su acción.
Finalmente, es curioso como en esa cruel dictadura que es Cuba, un grupúsculo de personas puede tranquilamente gritar, silbar y proferir insultos contra la policía, sin que esta haga nada por impedirlo, y sin que ninguna de estas personas que gritan e insultan, resulte siquiera identificada por la misma, ya ni hablar de golpes, detenciones o algo similar.
Así pues, lo que estaba pensado para ser un montaje teatral con el que denunciar a la "dictadura" cubana, se ha acabado por convertir, a la vista de las imágenes, en la mejor defensa posible de un sistema absolutamente democrático y respetuoso con la libertad de expresión y los derechos humanos, como es el actual sistema socialista cubano.
Ni los mismos defensores a ultranza del gobierno cubano, podrían haber preparado un mejor documento gráfico en sus defensa. Y ahora, amigos anticastristas que visitan Kaos, póngase un vídeo de lo que es una actuación propia de una dictadura: por ejemplo los vídeos de la actuación policial de la semana pasada en Madrid, sin ir más lejos en el tiempo. Y luego llamen a sus amigos en Cuba, para que los próximos montajes se los trabajen un poco más...
