9 Years after the Conundrum of 9/11

It's only to be expected that every passing year makes it a little harder to remember events exactly, but it's also normal for human beings to try to clarify history-making events that haven't been sufficiently explained. New evidence is bound to cast light on the parts of those events that have been concealed.

This hasn't been the case with 9/11, the terrorist action that killed around 3000 people in the United States in a matter of minutes nine years ago. It led the U.S. Government to declare a war on terrorism against an unknown-perhaps virtual-enemy and to curtail freedom in its own territory.

In one way or another, the United States has involved around 50 countries in this crusade, causing them losses of thousands-mainly civilians, including many children, women and old people.

At first, the U.S. war on terrorism was aimed against a mysterious leader of whom there is evidence only when it has been in the interests of the United States to designate him as the main person responsible for the crime. The alien terrorist has been reported as moving through Afghan caves with his phantasmagoric military organization.

Later, without any very clear explanation, the Iraqi Government was blamed for the tragedy, even though it was known that it didn't have any links with the supposed terrorist bombings of New York and Washington, D.C. U.S. intelligence agencies reported that they had evidence that Iraq was amassing weapons of mass destruction that were to be used against North America.

That small country-rich in oil but impoverished by an economic blockade that the United States had decreed some years earlier after having attacked it militarily-didn't have the strength to put up much resistance against the superpower.

The accusation was proved false-there weren't any arms of mass destruction-but, even so, the President of Iraq was taken prisoner and executed by the invading forces led by the United States.

Unable to consolidate its bloody occupation of Iraq and unwilling to admit defeat, the United States, using NATO as a cover, turned the war against Afghanistan, seeking an enemy who wasn't clearly identified but who, from its caves, supposedly threatening the national security of the most powerful military presence in the history of mankind.

The official version of the collapse of the Twin Towers continues to be questioned by the testimony of many scientists and other experts who state that it was a case of controlled demolition.

One wonders about the strict order of silence imposed on the New York firemen and the Federal Aviation Administration.

It is difficult to understand why, though there were large fires in buildings 5 and 6 of the World Trade Center, they weren't toppled, even though their steel girders were much smaller than those used in the Twin Towers, whereas building 7, which had a relatively small fire, collapsed entirely.

It was scandalous that, after the tragedy-but before the analyses required by the laws of evidence at the scene of any crime could be made and forensic studies carried out-the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) removed the steel structures of the buildings and sent them to South Korea.

Even now, nobody understands why the missile batteries and antiaircraft defense units deployed around the Pentagon weren't activated during the attack.

Nor has anybody been able explain why the Secret Servicemen authorized Bush to continue his visit to the elementary school, unconcerned about the President's and the students' safety.

It is inexplicable that nobody has been accused, punished or condemned for incompetence-not even the builders, who had certified that the towers could withstand the force of a Boeing.

Nor has Washington been able to back up its accusation that the terrorist action-one of great technological complexity-was the work of a group of 19 terrorists who had a low technical and scientific level, members of the Al Qaeda network headed by the Saudi Osama bin Laden.

Kurt Sonnenfeld, a U.S. citizen who is thought to have played a key part in casting doubt on the official version of what happened on September 11, 2001, has been subjected to implacable persecution by the U.S. authorities and has sought asylum in Argentina.

Sonnenfeld was one of the two cameramen who were authorized to film in the immediate area when New York's Twin Towers were toppled. There, he saw things that, unquestionably, he shouldn't have seen, which forced him to flee from persecution-a circumstance that supports the possibility that, sooner rather than later, the truth behind the most scandalous lie that Washington has ever told in the long history of its misdeeds will be revealed.

A NUEVE AÑOS DEL EXTRAÑO NUEVE ONCE

Es normal que cada año transcurrido agregue algo de olvido a cualquier acontecimiento. También es regla que los humanos se esfuercen por lograr un esclarecimiento a los eventos llamados a ser históricos que no hayan sido aclarados suficientemente. A resultas de ello, nuevas evidencias son llamadas a dar luz en las zonas oscuras del conocimiento de tales sucesos.

No ha sido así con el Nueve-Once, acto terrorista que hace nueve años mató en pocos minutos a unas tres mil personas en los Estados Unidos y fue motivo para que el gobierno de esa nación declarara una guerra al terrorismo contra un enemigo incierto, quizás virtual, y restringiera libertades en su propio territorio.

Ha sido una cruzada en la que Estados Unidos ha involucrado de una forma u otra a unos cincuenta países cuyos pueblos, en su conjunto, han sufrido millares de bajas, la mayoría de ellas civiles, un gran número de ellas menores, mujeres y ancianos.

Inicialmente, la guerra estadounidense contra el terrorismo tenía como el enemigo a derrotar a un misterioso líder del que se han tenido evidencias sólo cuando ha convenido a Estados Unidos ratificarlo como culpable principal del crimen. Se desplazaba el extraño terrorista por cuevas de Afganistán con su fantasmagórica organización militar.

Luego, sin explicación muy clara, se trasladó la inculpación al gobierno de Irak que, aunque se sabía que no tenia vínculo alguno con los supuestos bombardeos terroristas contra Nueva York y Washington, la inteligencia estadounidense tenía evidencias de que ese país acumulaba armas de destrucción masiva para emplearlas contra Norteamérica.

Sin mucha resistencia armada por parte del pequeño país rico en petróleo pero empobrecido por un bloqueo económico decretado por Estados Unidos algunos años antes, tras haberlo atacado militarmente, carecía de fuerzas para enfrentar a la superpotencia.

La acusación resultó falsa, las armas de destrucción masiva no existían, no obstante lo cual el presidente de Irak fue apresado y ejecutado por las fuerzas invasoras lideradas por Estados Unidos.

No habiendo podido consolidar la cruenta ocupación de Irak, sin reconocer la derrota de sus planes por tal motivo, Estados Unidos, con la OTAN de fachada, enfiló la guerra contra Afganistán, tras un enemigo no claramente identificado que, supuestamente, desde sus cuervas, pone en peligro la seguridad nacional de la potencia militar más poderosa que haya conocido la humanidad.

 La versión oficial sobre el colapso de las Torres Gemelas sigue cuestionada por numerosos testimonios de expertos  y científicos que alegan que se trató de una demolición controlada.

Se cuestiona la estricta orden de silencio ordenada a los bomberos de Nueva York y a la Administración Federal de Aviación.

Se contrasta el hecho de que los edificios 5 y 6 del World Trade Center (WTC) sufrieron incendios de consideración y no se derrumbaron pese a que tenían vigas de acero mucho más finas que las Torres, cuando el edificio número siete, afectado por un fuego relativamente pequeño, colapsó por entero.

Fue escandaloso que, tras el siniestro, la Agencia Federal para el Manejo de Emergencia extrajera y exportara a Corea del Sur las estructuras de acero de los edificios antes de que fueran analizadas según establecen las leyes que protegen la evidencia en la escena de todo crimen, hasta tanto se realicen los estudios forenses.

Aún hoy, nadie entiende por qué no fueron activadas durante el ataque las baterías coheteriles y la defensa antiaérea desplegada alrededor del Pentágono.

Nadie ha podido aclarar tampoco por qué los servicios secretos autorizaron a Bush a proseguir su visita a la escuela primaria sin preocuparse por la seguridad del presidente ni la de los escolares.

Es inexplicable que nadie haya sido encausado, sancionado o condenado por incompetencia, ni siquiera los constructores que habían certificado que las torres estaban a prueba de un Boeing.

Mucho menos ha podido Washington justificar la acusación de que el magno acto terrorista, de formidable complejidad tecnológica, haya sido obra de un grupo de 19 terroristas, de escaso nivel técnico y científico, miembros de la red Al Qaeda, dirigida por el saudita Osama bin Laden.

Cobra actualidad el caso del Kurt Sonnenfeld, norteamericano refugiado en Argentina sujeto a una implacable persecución por parte de las autoridades de Estados Unidos, considerado pieza clave en el desmontaje de la versión oficial de lo ocurrido el 11 de septiembre del 2001. 

Sonnenfeld fue  uno de los dos camarógrafos autorizados a filmar en la zona reservada durante la explosión de las Torres Gemelas de Nueva York. Allí vio cosas que sin dudas no debió haber visto, lo que le ha obligado a optar por huir de la persecución a la que está sometido, circunstancia que argumenta la posibilidad de que mas temprano que tarde quedará al descubierto la mentira más escandalosa que Washington ha orquestado en toda la historia para sus fechorías.
