 Cuba demands its immediate exclusion
from the list of "state sponsors of terrorism"

On many locations across the country, the Cuban people gave voice  Friday to support the statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, because of the new imperialist fabrications to include Cuba in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

The unanimous voice of complaint was not delayed. Unjust, arbitrary and immoral maneuver branded the new U.S. government. There was no shortage then the reasons to deny the recent indictment. Thus, young students recalled how in the past 50 years Cuba has been the country most attacked by terrorism born precisely in U.S. territory, and that has cost the lives of over 3,478 Cubans and various types of disabilities to other 2,099.

Residents of several localities agreed that Washington has no moral authority to accuse other countries. However Cuba, far from practicing terror,  expands its solidarity work through doctors, teachers, experts in sports, and other professionals whose cooperation it operates in 101 countries and eight territories.

At rallies, those gathered were in favor of freedom of the Cuban Five, true fighters against terrorism, who, ironically, are now imprisoned in the United States, while known terrorists are on the loose in the streets of Miami such as Luis Posada Carriles and Orlando Bosch.

The protesters said they are accustomed to U.S. governments putting Cuba on its "black list", rather than lifting the blockade and freeing the Cuban Five.

During protests throughout the country it was recognized that U.S. government hostility was once again attempting to undermine our sovereignty and endurance. This is another demonstration of arrogance and contempt for poor nations. It was argued that "such a Yankee move meets the need of the empire to build a record to justify an aggression."

Given these purposes, the Cuban people remains steadfast against terrorism and in defense of their ideals.

Exige el pueblo de Cuba inmediata exclusión
de la lista de “Estados patrocinadores del terrorismo”

En múltiples sitios de la geografía nacional el pueblo cubano se dio cita ayer para respaldar la declaración que hiciera el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, a causa de las nuevas patrañas imperialistas con la inclusión de Cuba en la lista de países que auspician el terrorismo.

La voz unánime de reclamo no se hizo esperar. De injusta, arbitraria e inmoral tildaron la nueva maniobra del gobierno de Estados Unidos. No faltaron entonces las razones para desmentir la reciente acusación. Así, jóvenes estudiantes recordaron cómo en los últimos 50 años ha sido Cuba el país más agredido por el terrorismo nacido, precisamente, en territorio norteamericano, y que ha costado la vida a más 3 478 cubanos y distintos tipos de discapacidad a otros 2 099.

Pobladores de varias localidades coincidieron en que Washington carece de autoridad moral para inculpar a otros países, y menos a Cuba, que lejos de practicar el terror expande su obra solidaria a través de médicos, maestros, expertos en deportes, y otros profesionales cuya cooperación se desenvuelve en 101 países y ocho territorios de ultramar.

En los mítines, los congregados se pronunciaron por la libertad de nuestros Cinco Héroes, verdaderos combatientes contra el terrorismo, quienes, paradójicamente, hoy están presos en cárceles de Estados Unidos, mientras connotados terroristas andan sueltos por las calles de Miami como Luis Posada Carriles y Orlando Bosch.

Los manifestantes dijeron estar acostumbrados a que los gobiernos estadounidenses pongan a Cuba en su "lista negra", en lugar de suspender el bloqueo y liberar a los Cinco Héroes.

Durante las protestas en todo el país se reconoció que la hostilidad del gobierno de EE.UU. intenta socavar una vez más nuestra soberanía y capacidad de resistencia, en otra prueba de arrogancia y desprecio por las naciones pobres y se consideró que "tal maniobra yanki responde a la necesidad del imperio de construir un expediente para justificar una agresión".

Ante tales propósitos el pueblo cubano sigue firme, contra el terrorismo, y en defensa de sus ideales.
