Interference is an imperialist method

Yankee imperialism has put into practice interference in other countries’ internal affairs as an effective tool to create domestic problems and try to overthrow any government that refuses to yield to its authority.

To do so, they often hide behind the so-called doctrine of Manifest Destiny, a term that designates the belief that the United States has been chosen by the Almighty to take American habits, way of life, economic organization and “representative democracy” across the world.

According to imperialist ideologists, Manifest Destiny allows them to judge what’s good and bad about another government’s doings. It allows them to promote internal pro-American dissent, to filibuster a country’s efforts to organize, to impose governments sympathetic to the U.S., and to violate a nation’s sovereignty whenever it suits them. This is all done with the excuse that its citizens lack the ability to decide what’s best for them.

By interfering, the U.S. not only violates sovereignty but also reveals Imperialism’s superiority complex, which always makes them see the mote in their neighbor’s eye and not the beam in their own. It can be said to be the topmost expression of U.S. hegemony, one they invariably justify by saying they’re “helping” the other country.

The effects of U.S. interference have been felt all over the world, and especially in Latin America. The words of Mexican national hero Benito Juárez, “Respect for the rights of others is peace”, brilliantly condenses how the U.S. has repeatedly ridden roughshod over the rights of the Mexicans under the pretext of protecting them and with the purpose of seizing a big chunk of their territory.

Without enlarging on this point, take Guatemalan president Jacobo Arbenz. He was seen as a menace to “democracy” in his country, regardless of the kind of government most people wanted. Something similar happened in the Dominican Republic when Caamaño was toppled.

Yankee interference became plain recently in Honduras, where the U.S. funded, organized and supported a coup to bring down President Mel Zelaya. They put in his place a de facto government that would “point the country in the right direction”. All kinds of actions are underway against the governments of Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Cuba to stop them from giving their citizens a better life.

These actions are undertaken by the CIA, the Pentagon and other spy agencies in the U.S. and elsewhere through USAID, NED, and other nonprofit organizations that they use as fronts to undermine a country’s sovereignty by fueling and funding opposition to the existing government. On the pretext of “helping the people”, these organizations launch plans to fund “independent journalists”, “free labor unions”, “human rights activists” and “dissidents”, all of whom play along with the CIA.

The sinister U.S. spy agency strives to stain the public image of national presidents and portray them as bold human rights violators. It tries to cast doubt in the country and abroad by speaking about nonexistent purges and struggles to win power and boost discontent among some members of society in order to divide people. It also tries to imbue workers and peasants with alien methods and ideas totally out of line with our situation or characteristics so as to lead them astray from their true goals of producing for the benefit of our population.

They speak of generational problems without saying that our youths are more and more involved in decision-taking and leadership. They go to great lengths to twist the real purposes of our solidarity with other peoples and its impact on their health and education. They try to establish factions within the revolutionary movement or the party in power in order to weaken it. And they try to recruit important figures who could fall under the spell of their ideas. Likewise, they try to create unease at the heart of the army to make the most of any situation at the earliest opportunity.

What I have given you to this point is a brief overview of how meddling in a nation’s internal affairs is the excuse used by the CIA, the THOUSAND-FACED MONSTER, to try to overthrow a legitimate government.

Worth mentioning in the case of Cuba is that Barack Obama’s arrival in the White House has been marked by offensive actions based on ideological diversion. In addition there is out-and-out interference that the U.S. Administration describes as “assistance to the Cuban people”. For this help to grow and continue, Cuba will have to make social, economic, educational and defensive changes, since Obama has embraced what has become known as “Plan Bush”.

I’ve also found the word “assistance” in the writings of the Freedom Socialist Party, whose views are in keeping with the plans that the U.S. spy agencies have for us. So much resemblance makes you assume that they work together with the CIA for a common objective.

I think the FSP’s writings are fully interferential, given that no one has asked them to get involved in Cuba’s internal affairs, come up with wonder formulas about how we should run things on the island, or tell us what to do about a number of issues that are up to us –and nobody else– to resolve. This is unsolicited advise that, I repeat, we can do without. That’s what Obama has done lately, as has every U.S. government since the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

It’s as if we told the FSP how to fight in the United States, how to bring the workers together so they can fight for their rights, what their structure should be like, or how convenient it would be to have –or not– internal factions; or whether they should apply democratic centralism and follow Marx, Engels and Lenin or go for Trotsky instead; or what strategy they should adopt in the struggle to win power; or whether their members should be workers, intellectuals, students, peasants, or come from a specific sector.

Such behavior, despite the assistance we may be receiving from the FSP, would be a totally disrespectful, unethical act of interference. It is likely to be out of line with the current situation in the U.S. and what should be done there right now, which is to be dealt with and taken care of exclusively by the American people, not us.

Taking into account that the FSP leaders are so concerned about what we’re doing in Cuba after 50 years of fight against Imperialism, I’d like to know what they’re doing for the United States and for their members, as well as details about their struggle and goals, since Cuba is not where they should be wasting their breath. If the FSP is really fighting for Freedom and Socialism in the United States, that’s where it should concentrate its efforts instead of wasting its time.

LA  INGERENCIA  ES  UN  MÉTODO  IMPERIALISTA

El imperialismo yankee ha puesto en práctica la injerencia en los asuntos internos de otros países como uno de sus métodos más eficaces para crear problemas internos y tratar de derrocar  gobiernos que no se pliegan a sus designios.

Muchas veces se han escudado para hacer esto en la llamada Doctrina del Destino Manifiesto.  Los Estados Unidos han sido elegidos por el todo poderoso para llevar a otros países sus costumbres, forma de vida, su organización económica y la llamada “democracia representativa”.

La Doctrina del Destino Manifiesto, según los ideólogos imperialistas, les permitía decidir que era bueno y que era malo de lo que hiciera otro gobierno. Crear movimientos internos que se aliaran a los intereses estadounidenses. Oponerse a la organización que quisiera adoptar el gobierno de cualquier país. Imponer formas de gobierno acorde a sus criterios y violar la soberanía del país  cuantas veces lo consideraran conveniente. Todo esto para ayudar al país y sus ciudadanos, que no eran lo suficientemente capaces como para determinar lo más adecuado para la vida de su nación.

La injerencia no solo viola la soberanía, sino que además pone de manifiesto el complejo de superioridad de los imperialistas, que siempre ven defectos en lo que hacen otras naciones, pero no los ven en sus propias decisiones.  Puede decirse que es la manifestación más acentuada del hegemonismo estadounidense justificada casi siempre con  “estar ayudando al país”.

Muchos pueblos del mundo y en especial de América Latina han sufrido los efectos de la injerencia estadounidense. La frase del prócer mexicano Benito Juárez “El respeto al derecho ajeno es la paz”, sintetiza magistralmente como se pisoteó en repetidas oportunidades el derecho del pueblo mexicano con el pretexto de proteger a su pueblo y con el objetivo de apoderarse de una buena parte de su territorio.

Si hacer la historia muy larga, podemos señalar como en Guatemala fue derrocado el gobierno de Jacobo Arbenz pues se consideraba era una amenaza a la “democracia” que debía regir en aquel país, independientemente de que la mayoría del pueblo deseara otro tipo de régimen. Algo similar sucedió en República Dominicana cuando el derrocamiento de Caamaño.

En fecha más reciente la injerencia yankee se puso de manifiesto en Honduras, cuando un golpe de estado, financiado, organizado y con el apoyo de Estados Unidos derrocó al presidente constitucional Mel Zelaya e impuso a su pueblo un gobierno de facto para que “orientara adecuadamente los destinos del país”.
Acciones de todo tipo se llevan a cabo contra los gobiernos de Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua y Cuba con el fin de que no puedan cumplirse los objetivos de lograr que los ciudadanos de dichos países disfruten de mejores condiciones de vida, económicas, educacionales, médicas, laborales y de todo tipo.

Las acciones injerencistas a que hacemos referencia son realizadas por la CIA, el Pentágono y otras agencias de espionaje de Estados Unidos, con la colaboración de agencias de espionaje de otros países y utilizando distintas organizaciones fachada para socavar la soberanía de los países antes mencionados.

Dentro de esas organizaciones se encuentran la USAID, la NED, distintas organizaciones no lucrativas que trabajan en organizar y crear  y financiar la oposición al régimen establecido. Dichas organizaciones con el pretexto de “ayudar a la población del país”, tienen planes de financiamiento a “periodistas independientes”, “sindicatos libres” “luchadores por los derechos humanos” y  grupos “disidentes”, los cuales actúan acorde a los intereses de la CIA.

La tenebrosa agencia de espionaje estadounidense trata de afectar la imagen pública de los dirigentes de los países, promover internacionalmente que en estos se violan de forma escandalosa los derechos humanos, tratan de crear incertidumbre externa e interna hablando sobre supuestas purgas y lucha por el poder que son inexistentes.
Tratan de promover la insatisfacción en algunos miembros de la sociedad con el fin de socavar la unidad del pueblo. Intentan introducir tanto en los trabajadores como en los campesinos métodos e ideas extranjerizantes, no acordes con la situación ni la característica de nuestro pueblo y que los aparten de sus verdaderos objetivos relacionados con la producción y la satisfacción de las necesidades del pueblo.

Hablan de problemas generacionales sin reconocer que cada día los jóvenes ocupan un lugar más importante en la toma de decisiones y la dirección general del país. Tratan por todos los medios de tergiversar los verdaderos propósitos de la solidaridad con otros países y la importancia de eta para la educación y salud de los mismos.

Tratan de crear fracciones dentro del movimiento revolucionario o el partido que se encuentra en el poder con el fin de debilitar el mismo.  Intentan reclutar figuras dirigentes que puedan ser influenciados por sus ideas. Tratan igualmente de crear malestar entre los militares, con el objetivo de explotar estas situaciones cuando sea posible.

Hasta aquí una somera descripción de cómo la injerencia en los asuntos internos de un país, con el pretexto de ayudar, es utilizada por la CIA, EL MONSTRUO DE LAS MIL CARAS, para tratar de derrocar al gobierno establecido.

En el caso de Cuba podemos decir que a partir de la llegada de Barack Obama a la Casa Blanca se ha desarrollado una ofensiva contra nuestro país que se caracteriza por las acciones de diversionismo ideológico que se tratan de llevar a cabo. Estas acciones, propias de la más vulgar injerencia en los asuntos internos de Cuba, están enmarcadas en lo que la administración estadounidense califica como “ayuda al pueblo cubano”. Para que la ayuda sea mayor y continúe, Cuba tendrá que cambiar desde el punto de vista social, económico, educacional y defensivo, pues Obama ha tomado para si lo que se conoce como “Plan Bush”.

La palabra “ayuda” también la leo en los escritos del Freedom Socialist Party.  Los criterios que exponen están enmarcados dentro de los objetivos que las agencias de espionaje estadounidenses tienen sobre Cuba.  Tanta similitud permite pensar que ellos y la CIA trabajan en función de lograr los mismos resultados.

Considero que los escritos que he leído de dicha organización son totalmente injerencistas, pues nadie les ha pedido que se involucren en los asuntos internos de Cuba, que nos  den fórmulas maravillosas de cómo podemos llevar a cabo el gobierno de nuestra isla y que nos orienten sobre qué debemos hacer en relación con una serie de situaciones que solamente nos toca a nosotros decidir, repito, sin que nadie se los haya solicitado. Eso mismo ha hecho Obama recientemente y lo han hecho las administraciones que desfilaron por la Casa Blanca desde que triunfó la revolución en Cuba.

Es como si nosotros le dijéramos al Freedom Socialist Party de qué forma debe llevar a cabo la lucha en los Estados Unidos.  Como deben organizar a los trabajadores para que luchen por sus conquistas.  Como debe organizarse internamente su Partido, si con fracciones o no, si deben utilizar el centralismo democrático, las ideas de Marx, Engels y Lenin, o las ideas de Trostky.  Cual debe ser para ellos la estrategia de lucha por la toma del poder. Qué tipo de militante deben tener en el partido, si trabajadores, intelectuales, estudiantes, campesinos, o solamente un sector determinado.

Si nosotros hiciéramos eso,  independientemente de la ayuda que nos esté dando dicho partido, sería una total falta de respeto, una acción injerencista, falta de ética y posiblemente alejada de la realidad de Estados Unidos y de lo que en este momento debiera hacerse en dicho país, lo cual debe ser determinado y decidido por los propios estadounidenses, no por nosotros.

Como a los miembros del ejecutivo del Freedom Socialist Party les preocupa tanto lo que estamos haciendo en Cuba, a pesar de los cincuenta años de experiencia que tenemos luchando contra el imperialismo, me gustaría saber que están haciendo ellos por Estados Unidos.  Que están haciendo por su militancia, que lucha llevan a cabo y cuáles son sus objetivos, pues no es en Cuba donde deben gastar toda su energía. Si ese partido lucha verdaderamente por la Libertad y el Socialismo en Estados Unidos deben dedicar a eso todo su esfuerzo, pues la tarea es grande y no deben perder tiempo.
