Caracas, 23 octubre.— El presidente venezolano, Hugo Chávez, aseguró hoy que programas humanistas como la Operación Milagro resultan impensables en el capitalismo por la excluyente proyección que caracteriza a ese sistema, reporta PL.
Las operaciones de la vista eran antes un lujo aquí. Solo los ricos y algunos grupos podían acceder a ellas, afirmó desde el Centro Oftalmológico de Maiquetía, estado de Vargas, donde celebró la llegada al millón de pacientes atendidos por la iniciativa durante su lustro de existencia.
La cifra incluye a venezolanos y a latinoamericanos, apuntó el mandatario, quien calificó al proyecto impulsado por Fidel Castro de un verdadero milagro solo posible en el socialismo.
