A seal of friendship between Cuba and China
Commemorate the 49 anniversary of bilateral relations
and the 60th anniversary of the founding of the PRC

"The
Cuban people feel a deep respect for the Chinese people,
their struggles, for their rich history full of heroism and
sacrifice, for their resistance against invaders, for their
love of freedom and revolution", said Vice Minister of the
Informatics and Communications Alberto Rodriguez Arufe, for
the cancellation of a postage stamp to mark the 60th
anniversary of the founding of the PRC.
That was occasion to celebrate the historic relations between both nations, which met yesterday, completing 49 years, and to convey the fraternal greetings for the sixtieth birthday.
Meanwhile, Zhao Ronxiang, the Asian giant's ambassador, expressed fratitude for the greetings, and recalled the roots of the ties that bind us and said that relations between our countries are making progress and are characterized by an important and efficient cooperation.
The commemorative stamp was designed by José Antonio Medina from Chinese platanized work of the prominent artist Flora Fong, and part of his personal exhibition of China to the Caribbean.
A postal issue was attended Caridad Diego, chairwoman of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with China, Hilda Vasallo, coordinator for Asia and Pacific Department of International Relations of the Party Central Committee and members of the Friendship Association and the Chinese colony in Cuba, among others.

relaciones entre ambos países y los 60 años de la fundación de
la República Popular China

«El pueblo cubano siente un profundo respeto por el pueblo
chino, por sus luchas, por su milenaria historia llena de
heroísmo y sacrificios, por su resistencia contra los invasores,
por su amor a la libertad y su Revolución», expresó el
viceministro de la Informática y las Comunicaciones Alberto
Rodríguez Arufe, durante la cancelación de un sello postal con
motivo del aniversario 60 de la fundación de la República
Popular China.
Esa fue ocasión para exaltar las históricas relaciones entre
ambas naciones, que ayer cumplieron 49 años, y para trasmitir el
fraternal saludo por el sexagésimo cumpleaños.
Por su parte, Zhao Ronxiang, embajador del gigante asiático,
agradeció las felicitaciones, recordó las raíces de los lazos
que nos unen y aseguró que las relaciones entre nuestros países
avanzan y están caracterizadas por una cooperación importante y
eficiente.
El sello conmemorativo fue diseñado por José Antonio Medina
a partir de la obra Chino aplatanado, de la
destacada artista plástica Flora Fong, y forma parte de su
muestra personal De China al Caribe.
A la emisión postal asistieron Caridad Diego, presidenta del
Grupo Parlamentario de Amistad con China; Hilda Vasallo,
coordinadora para Asia y Oceanía del Departamento de Relaciones
Internacionales del Comité Central del Partido, así como
miembros de la Asociación de Amistad y de la colonia china en
Cuba, entre otros.
