thorough exchange of views took place on the morning of August 21
between the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz and the
President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa Delgado, about the revolutionary

justice.
In
an extensive and sincere dialogue, Fidel spoke of the progress achieved
by the citizen;s Revolution led by Correa, particularly in economic
matters, education and health.
Fidel expressed his admiration for the impressive work done in the

nation, and the organization of more efficient care to these from the
social and medical standpoint.
In
the fraternal meeting, which lasted several hours, Fidel and Correa
discussed important international current affairs, exchanged cultural
and historical topics and illustrated the close friendship between our
two countries.

Fidel Castro, Correa Meet in Havana
Havana, Aug 23 (Prensa Latina) Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa on
Friday met for several hours with the leader of the Cuban Revolution,
Fidel Castro, in Havana, to discuss social projects under way in the two
countries.
Juventud Rebelde daily reported on Sunday that Correa and the Cuban
leader exchanged viewpoints about the current revolutionary situation in
Cuba and Ecuador in their search for greater equality and social justice.
The two leaders spoke about the achievements of the citizen's revolution
carried out by Correa, particularly in the economy, education and health.
Fidel Castro praised the Manuela Espejo Mission, which provides
efficient medical and social care to Ecuadorian disabled people.
In the fraternal meeting, Fidel and Correa reviewed major international
problems, talked about cultural and historic issues and ways to boost
even further current friendship ties between Cuba and Ecuador.
Correa paid an official visit to Cuba early in 2009. Now he has returned

Un profundo intercambio de impresiones se
produjo en la mañana del pasado 21 de agosto entre el líder
de la Revolución cubana, Fidel Castro Ruz, y el Presidente
de Ecuador, Rafael Correa Delgado, acerca de la actualidad
revolucionaria de ambos pueblos en la búsqueda de una mayor
equidad y justicia social.En un
diálogo amplio y sincero, se refirieron a los avances
obtenidos por la Revolución ciudadana que impulsa Correa, en
particular en las materias económica, de educación y salud.
Fidel expresó su admiración por el
impresionante trabajo que se realiza en la Misión «Manuela
Espejo» para el pesquisaje de los discapacitados en la
hermana nación, y la organización de la atención más
eficiente a estos desde el punto de vista social y médico.
En el fraternal encuentro, que se
extendió por varias horas, Fidel y Correa analizaron
importantes asuntos de la actualidad internacional,
intercambiaron sobre temas culturales e históricos y
pusieron de manifiesto la estrecha amistad entre nuestros
