receives Cuban CP CC Secretariat member Remírez de Estenoz
BEIJING, March 18.— Cuban Central Committee Secretariat member Fernando Remírez de Estenoz was received today by He Guoqiang, member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), PL reports.
Held in the Great Hall of the People, the meeting was also attended by CPC International Division head Wang Jiarui, Cuban ambassador Carlos M. Pereira, and CPCuba Central Committee section head Hilda Vasallo.
Remírez de Estenoz arrived in Beijing yesterday as part of an official visit in line with the regular exchanges of views between both political organizations.
He Guoqiang was also appointed head of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection by the XVII Congress of the Communist Party of China last October.
According to reports, He Guoqiang seized the opportunity to ratify the strong bonds of friendship joining both Parties and peoples and stated his appreciation for Cuba’s longstanding support for the Asian nation in the world arena, and particularly for its One-China policy.
Likewise, the Chinese leader stressed that Fidel’s and Raúl’s personal efforts to strengthen bilateral links are greatly admired by China’s government and people.
In his Asian tour, the head of the Party Central Committee’s International Relations Division will also travel to Hanoi to fulfill an invitation issued by the Vietnamese Communist Party, and then to India, where he will attend the Congresses of the two communist parties of that country.

BEIJING, 18 de marzo.— He Guoqiang, miembro del Comité Permanente del Buró Político del Partido Comunista de China (PCCh), recibió hoy a Fernando Remírez de Estenoz, miembro del Secretariado del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de Cuba, señala PL.
La entrevista tuvo lugar en el Gran Palacio del Pueblo, y en ella también tomaron parte Wang Jiarui, jefe del Departamento Internacional del PCCh; el embajador de Cuba, Carlos M. Pereira; e Hilda Vasallo, jefa de sección en el Comité Central del PCC.
Remírez de Estenoz realiza desde ayer una visita de trabajo a Beijing, que se enmarca en los habituales intercambios informativos entre las dos organizaciones políticas.
He Guoqiang es, además, jefe de la Comisión Central de Inspección Disciplinaria, electo en el XVII Congreso del PCCh en octubre pasado.
Según trascendió, He Guoqiang ratificó durante la audiencia la amistad y los fuertes lazos que unen a los dos partidos y pueblos.
También agradeció el constante apoyo de Cuba a la nación asiática en temas internacionales y, en especial, a la causa de una sola China.
El dirigente resaltó, igualmente, la admiración del pueblo y Gobierno chinos por los esfuerzos desplegados de manera personal por Fidel y Raúl para profundizar los vínculos bilaterales.
En su periplo por Asia, el jefe del Departamento de Relaciones Internacionales del Comité Central del Partido también visitará Hanoi, cumplimentando una invitación del Partido Comunista de Vietnam, y la India, donde asistirá a los congresos de los dos partidos comunistas de ese país.
